Dr. Vu Hong Lien was born in Hanoi, grew up in Saigon, today’s Ho Chi Minh City, and matured in London, United Kingdom. After a long career as Senior Producer for Radio and Television at the BBC, World Service, she went back to university to study for a Master Degree and graduated with a PhD in History at the School of Oriental and African Studies (SOAS), University of London.
